Rachel Darbourne lives and works in Plymouth, England and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from the Jewellery Program at Middlesex University in 1994. She completed her Master of Arts in 2013, also with distinction in the Jewellery and Metal Arts program, at the School of Jewellery in Birmingham, England.
