Born in 1987, aemjot grew up as the second child of parents in a modest small town, in the shadow of pine forest monotony and the haze of the lausitz coal seam. From an early age, he was not at all interested in the soccer club, the Christian school or the volunteer fire department. The world was a mystery – which aemjot tried to explain and appropriate with the help of his own creative creations. Art, and especially the productive process, is always an endeavor to encounter the world and himself in it and to find a solution, to overcome separation and become one.

or aemjot just needs an adequate formulation for the fact that he likes to play with clay and color. This play is always an attempt, an approach to the living, which for aemjot happens using various techniques (drawing, painting, modeling, casting, pottery) and materials (plastic, steel, ceramics, wood, acrylic, liverwurst, clay, porcelain, paper, …). The series of different figures has also emerged from life; it shows the facets of love, happiness and grief, loss, fear, addiction, awakening and subtly deals with social and political events.
