About us

The PrunkWerk Gallery shows a unique mix of handmade, unusual jewelry and unusual, international arts and crafts – contemporary and unconventional.

In early 2024, PrunkWerk Galerie moved into the premises of Atelier Tautropfen in Brüderstrasse. Located directly on Großneumarkt – in the heart of Hamburg, centrally located between Michel and Alster, surrounded by galleries, cafés, bars, restaurants and directly on the “Hummel- Bummel” strip.

Our mission

Our goal is to bring and represent unusual pieces of art jewellery and special, international arts and crafts to Hamburg. It is important to us that the artists we work with are not otherwise represented in Hamburg, Germany or Europe, because we want to avoid overlaps and give our visitors a fresh look at new and undiscovered works.

This keeps the visit to the PrunkWerk Gallery varied and special.

The history of PrunkWerk

Parallel to our gallery, there is also the studio, the heart of PrunkWerk. Founded in 2008 in the Grindel/Rotherbaum district, everything here revolves around jewellery:

It is not only a place where several goldsmiths and jewellery designers come together to exchange ideas and work together, but also a place where beautiful, handcrafted one-of-a-kind jewellery, small series, own collections, custom-made pieces, wedding and engagement rings and sometimes even contemporary, experimental jewellery are created.

Another feature of our studio are our goldsmithing classes for beginners and advanced students in the form of an “open studio”, but also individual courses, such as wedding ring courses, bachelorette parties or individual lessons.
