Elisabeth Ort

The German-Swiss wood sculptor Elisabeth Ort was born in 1996 and learned her craft in Oberammergau. After her apprenticeship, she completed further training as a designer in the craft at the Academy of Art and Design in Munich. Since 2022 she has been studying color design at the HAWK Hildesheim and works part-time in the props department of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich.

She has taken part in numerous competitions and received the Bavarian State Prize, the Bavarian Master Prize and took part in the European Design Award for Wood Sculptors – Curious about Tomorrow? with her cup oracle – What’s in the coffee grounds?
